Josh Richardson had a solid game against one of his former teams Friday night.
Richardson, a former University of Tennessee basketball player and guard and forward for Dallas, scored 11 points to help lift the Mavericks past Miami, 93-83, at American Airlines Center.
Richardson, a starter, played 35 minutes, recorded three rebounds and assists for the Mavericks, who improved to 2-3 on the season.
The Heat drafted Richardson, who played for the Volunteers between 2011-15, was selected by the Heat in the second round of the 2015 NBA draft. He was the No. 40 overall pick.
The former Vol played for Miami until 2019 when he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. He played in Philadelphia last season.
