Josh Richardson reacts to why Sixers have struggled on the road

Philadelphia 76ers guard Josh Richardson tries to figure out why the Sixers struggle so much on the road.

The Philadelphia 76ers on the season sit at 26-16 and that is mostly due to being one of the more dominant teams at home as they own a 19-2 home record. However, on the road, they are only 7-14 and they have lost six in a row on the road overall and it has hindered their ability to move up in the standings.

Their struggles on the road have kept Philadelphia as the 6 seed in the East and that seeding number would have the Sixers starting Round 1 of the playoffs on the road. They have to find a way to get it done away from Wells Fargo Center as they do when they are at home.

“I just think right now we need to figure out how to win this next game,” said Josh Richardson. “Then once we go out on the road, we’ve really got to figure out what we’ve got to do to start getting these wins. If we played on the road like we do at home, we’re a 30-something win team already. We’ll just keep tightening the screws up and going forward.”

Even if the Sixers do get home-court advantage in the playoffs, it isn’t like they won’t be presented with a situation where they will have to win a big road game. This is one of those little things a team has to go through to become a great team. They have got to fight through this battle as a team and it will eventually get better.

Of course, if it doesn’t, then fans can expect major changes all over the roster. [lawrence-related id=23611,23616,23601]
