It continues to be a weird time in the NBA in the year 2020 as players come together in support of ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski who was suspended by the company after sending an email with an expletive back to a US senator.
Wojnarowski emailed Missouri senator Josh Hawley a big “[expletive] you” after Hawley came after the NBA for not including some other social messages on the back of their jerseys. In turn, ESPN suspended the famed NBA insider and the players in the league came to his defense.
A lot of players have used the hashtag #FreeWoj to show their support for him and Philadelphia 76ers guard Josh Richardson has gotten into the movement as well. He retweeted Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James’ tweet of simply tweeting out the hashtag.

Twitter normally has the power to put the pressure on any major company to overturn a decision such as this one, but with James now putting in his input and other big players coming to his defense, this seems a bit more serious for ESPN now. [lawrence-related id=34386,34540,34529]
