Some people believe that NBA players find out about personnel moves with a simple text message or they have insider information. However, that may only be true for some players.
For Philadelphia 76ers guard Josh Richardson, he finds out about this stuff the same way everybody else does. He waits for a tweet from some of the game’s biggest names in sports media such as Adrian Wojnarowski or Shams Charania.
A video was released by Facebook gaming where Richardson was playing video games online and he found out that the Sixers hired Doc Rivers while he was just playing the game. He was reading off tweets while he was playing the game and he wanted to emphasize that he finds out just like everybody else.

It will be interesting to see where Richardson fits in Rivers’ scheme. He is a good player who was more of a glue guy under Brett Brown, but he has a lot of different talents that he can bring to the table as he can slash, he can shoot, and he can handle the ball at times. He is also one of the better perimeter defenders in the game so Rivers will be able to find a role for him. [lawrence-related id=38180,38169,38173]
