With this week’s NFL games having fantasy playoff implications for many leagues, any key player listed as questionable has undoubtedly heard plenty of noise from fans on social media.
Well, Raiders running back Josh Jacobs appeared to have his own fun at the expense of fantasy owners.
Jacobs missed last week’s game due to an ankle sprain, and there were questions about his status heading into Sunday’s game against the Colts. That clarity seemingly arrived when the Raiders officially listed Jacobs as active for the game.
But then, Jacobs took to Instagram and had NFL fans and fantasy owners all confused.
#Raiders’ RB Josh Jacobs is active today, but he posted on his Instagram story that he’s not playing.

Despite being listed as active, Jacobs posted to his Instagram Story that he wasn’t going to play on Sunday. He also acknowledged all the angry fantasy owners out there.
Now, it wouldn’t make much sense for the Raiders to list Jacobs as active, use up that roster spot and let Jacobs reveal his decoy role ahead of time. He was most likely trolling fantasy owners because he was seen dressed and going through his regular pregame warmups.

We’ll still have to see what kind of impact Jacobs has against Indianapolis. He could be playing. He could be chilling on the sidelines.
Fantasy owners need to decide if it’s worth calling that bluff and starting him. Well played, Josh.
