Former Alabama running back Josh Jacobs recently ended his holdout with the Las Vegas Raiders and agreed to a one-year contract, valued at $12 million. In other exciting news, he will be changing his number for the 2023 season. New contract, New Jersey for the 2019 first-round selection.
Jacobs spent the first four seasons of his NFL career wearing No. 28 for the Raiders but will return to wearing No. 8, which he sported on his Alabama uniform late in his college career.
The Raiders shared a brief video to X, formerly known as Twitter, to announce the change and captioned it, “New number, same colors.” as a nod to the short contract extension that keeps him in Las Vegas.
