Tennessee (2-1) will kick off Southeastern Conference play Saturday at No. 12 Florida (2-1) in Week 4.
Joe Milton III started at quarterback for the Vols during the first two games. Milton III suffered a lower body injury in Week 2 and Hendon Hooker started at quarterback last week.
Ahead of Saturday’s contest, first-year Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel discussed the status of the Vols’ quarterbacks.
Heupel mentioned Milton III “got a little bit of work last week” after suffering the injury in the first half against Pittsburgh in Week 2.
“We’ll find out where he is, in particular Tuesday or Wednesday here, and see where we are at that point, as far as whether he’ll be able to play or not,” Heupel said of Milton III.
