Josh Elander will serve as Tennessee’s associate head coach.
Elander has served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Vols since 2018 under head coach Tony Vitello.
During his tenure at Tennessee, Elander has worked primarily with the Vols’ hitters and catchers.
Prior to serving as an assistant coach at Tennessee, Elander was a volunteer assistant coach at Arkansas in 2017. He was a student assistant coach at his alma mater TCU in 2016, helping the Horned Frogs advance to the College World Series.
Elander spent parts of four years in the Braves and Diamondbacks’ minor league systems. In 2013, he was named the Braves’ Minor League Player of the Year and Hank Aaron Award winner, presented annually to the organization’s top hitter in the minor leagues.
