Josh Allen’s ugly interception leads to Patriots’ first points off a turnover this season

Josh Allen’s ugly first-quarter interception led to the Patriots’ first points off a turnover all season long.

Coming into Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills, the New England Patriots were the only NFL team with no points off of turnovers. Of course, the Pats had just two interceptions through Week 6, so opportunities have been limited. But with 9:55 left in the first quarter, Josh Allen tried to hit tight end Dawson Knox on a corner route, and Allen missed defensive back Jabrill Peppers dropping into coverage.

The result was Allen’s seventh interception of the season.

The Patriots were able to take a 10-0 lead on the subsequent drive, capped off with this two-yard run by Ezekiel Elliott.
