Josh Allen sure knows how to keep Buffalo Bills fans worried during the past few days of training camp.
During the fifth day of camp, the Bills put pads on and had full hitting for the first time this summer. Buffalo’s offense called a trick play during that Monday session and one particular snap called for Allen to run out as a receiver.
Sounds fun, ended bad.
Defensive back Taron Johnson got a hit on Allen and the quarterback got up a bit slowly… but was all right in the end. The two hugged it out, even.
On Tuesday, another scare from Allen.
According to multiple reports including The Athletic, Allen briefly limped off after a play during team drills. The QB was reportedly looking at his right leg with the athletic training staff… but he was cleared in the end:
All seems good now, but Bills QB Josh Allen got checked on by an athletic trainer after a rep in team drills. Stood under his own power after. Kept looking at his lower right leg. Helmet stayed in his hand the whole time. GM Brandon Beane came over to chat with him. Back in now.

After returning, Allen reportedly did not miss any other snaps. The Bills could keep him out as a precautionary, but at this time, he’s evidently OK enough to stay out on the field.
