Jordan Hicks returns to game vs. Saints

After leaving the game, Hicks returned after missing a drive and a half

The Minnesota Vikings have caught a break with the injury bug, as linebacker Jordan Hicks has returned to the game. Hicks was injured early in the first quarter on a run by Saints running back Alvin Kamara. Hicks collided with his teammate, stayed in for one play, and then was taken out and headed back to the medical tent.

It’s been reported that Hicks was dealing with a shin issue, but the shin has been re-taped and Hicks has been able to return to the Vikings’ linebacker corps. In Hicks’ absence, linebacker Ivan Pace assumed his responsibilities, and fellow linebacker Troy Dye saw more time on the field.

Hicks has been the leader of a Vikings linebacker group that has played a pivotal role in the Brian Flores-led defense being so confusing to opposing quarterbacks. We’ll keep an eye on that shin and update you further should Hicks be forced out of the game again.
