The release date and name of a potential Zion Williamson signature shoe with Jordan Brand has emerged after the New Orleans Pelicans forward inked the richest annual rookie contract with the apparel company last year.

According to DJ Folk, Jordan Brand will apparently unveil the Z Code signature shoe early next year for Williamson. Pictures of the rumored shoe have not yet surfaced as there have been no additional details of its potential look and design.

Williamson signed a five-year, $75 million contract with Jordan Brand in July 2019, the richest annual rookie shoe deal in NBA history. He helped usher in the new Air Jordan XXXIV shoes this season and was rumored to eventually get a signature sneaker as part of the deal.

Williamson finished third in the Rookie of the Year voting after averaging 22.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 24 games played. He has emerged as one of the most marketable players in the league and certainly is a perfect fit to help launch a brand new shoe line.
