Five USC football players have been invited to the 2023 NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis. The event will take place from February 28 through March 6.
USC’s invitees include wide receiver Jordan Addison, cornerback Mekhi Blackmon, running back Travis Dye, defensive lineman Tuli Tuipulotu, and offensive lineman Andrew Vorhees.
The combine gives scouts the chance to evaluate the year’s top draft-eligible college players on a variety of medical, mental and physical criteria.
USC wide receiver Jordan Addison is among the most refined 2023 NFL Draft prospects in this class. A former Biletnikoff winner and a star for both the Pittsburgh and USC programs, Addison has shown his abilities across multiple coaches, quarterbacks, and systems. His route-running, ball skills and big-play ability will make him a welcome addition and an immediate instrument of improvement for the NFL team which picks him.
Addison enjoyed a stellar 2022 season which was slightly but not hugely affected by injury. He earned an exceptional 81.5 overall grade from Pro Football Focus. The third-year sophomore led USC with 59 receptions despite playing in only 11 of the Trojans’ 14 games.
He also led the Trojans with 875 yards receiving and eight touchdown receptions.
Jordan Addison fits the current NFL meta of quick-twitch WRs who can get open underneath and work the middle with so many defenses opting to run shell coverage. Might be the safest pick in the draft. Big play ability there too. pic.twitter.com/XkbVQclf06
