Thursday evening, Pro Football Focus tweeted out an unbelievable statistic of Jonathan Taylor in college because of his inclusion in an article for the top nine sleeper runnings backs in fantasy football this season. Taylor ran for an unbelievable 3,920 yards after contact since 2017, which beats the next closest running back in college football by over 940 yards.
This stat of Jonathan Taylor shows just how dominant he was in his career at Wisconsin, considering most college running backs don’t rush for 4,000 yards in their collegiate career, let alone in yards after contact. Taylor ran for over 5,745 yards in his three years at Wisconsin, which means that over 68 percent of his yards came after contact.
Physicality is not something that is often cited as a big aspect of the Salem, N.J. native’s game, but it will definitely be an appreciated aspect as he enters this season with the Indianapolis Colts where the competition will be bigger, faster, and stronger than in college.
