Team USA made quick work of an overmatched South Korean squad on Wednesday afternoon at the FIBA U19 World Cup in Riga, Latvia.
The US jumped out to a 31-17 first quarter advantage and ended up more than doubling up the Koreans, winning 132-60 to advance to the quarterfinals and face Senegal. The Americans are a perfect 4-0 in Latvia while Senegal has gone 2-2.
Wisconsin’s Jonathan Davis was back in the starting lineup and he again shot the ball well on limited attempts. The Badger guard went 3-4 from the field and finished with 9 points. Gonzaga signee and 2021 number one player in the country Chet Holmgren led the US with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Up next in the knockout stage is a quarterfinal bout with Senegal on Friday.
