There was plenty of buzz and speculation before the season about the move to right tackle for Jonah Williams.
Heading into his final season with the Cincinnati Bengals, Williams was forced — coming off an injury — to change positions for the first time as a pro.
And through five games, the results have been…pretty good. Week 5 might have provided the biggest sign of Williams’ positive switch yet, though, as he posted an 80.6 overall Pro Football Focus grade during the win over the Arizona Cardinals — a season-high that ranked fourth among all offensive tackles that week.
It will take an entire body of work throughout the season before we can really speculate if the Bengals and Williams will try to work out a second contract.
But right now? That right tackle spot is starting to look better than it has in years, with the decision to move Williams possibly helping this be the best line of the Burrow era to date.
