The Cincinnati Bengals hope Joe Burrow and Jonah Williams are a big part of the franchise’s success for a long time.
And Williams sure thinks Burrow has what it takes.
The 2019 first-round pick met with media Monday and was the latest to praise Burrow now that he’s seen the No. 1 pick in action, per ESPN’s Ben Baby: “I’ve been really impressed with the way he’s handling this offense and handling the huddle… It’s as if he’s been here for years.”
Williams also touched on how impressive it was Burrow wasn’t hesitating when it comes to merely taking command of the veterans around him:
Jonah Williams said it's been great to see Joe Burrow be vocal early: "Some guys wouldn’t want to speak up like that. They wouldn’t want to give suggestions to a bunch of veteran o-linemen. But he does it in a way that we all respect it and appreciate his input."

Williams is far from the first person to be impressed with Burrow since the start of camp. Other veterans have noticed and coaches aren’t holding back any of the playbook.
As for Williams, he’s tasked with starting at left tackle after missing all of last season and impressed plenty recently — he caught coaches off guard with his offseason transformation.
