Jon Feliciano says there’s ‘no animosity’ with A.J. Epenesa post-fight

Buffalo Bills OL Jon Feliciano on OTA fight with AJ Epenesa.

Things got heated at the Buffalo Bills’ OTA practice on Tuesday. Reportedly a scuffle between offensive lineman Jon Feliciano and defensive end AJ Epenesa broke out.

After Epenesa intercepted a pass for a touchdown, Feliciano took offense to it and approached Epenesa. The second-year pro is said to have thrown the football back at the lineman, and some punched were potentially thrown.

As one could guess, the two probably squashed any beef soon after practice. Feliciano went on to confirm that. Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show only moments after practice, Feliciano was asked about what happened with Epenesa.

Feliciano downplayed it.

“This hasn’t been my first scuffle in practice,” Feliciano said. “Everyone knows around here we’re trying to work. There’s no animosity between me and AJ. That crap was done right when we walked off the field. Iron sharpens iron and I’m trying to get him better.”

It sounds like this emotional Bills team is good to go.

That positive attitude about the situation that Feliciano spun was already echoed by one of his other teammates not involved with the dust up. Defensive tackle Harrison Phillips was asked for his take on the situation via video conference after practice and he said a similar sentiment as Feliciano about the competitiveness the Bills have.

“Any time you have guys out here that take so much pride in what they’re doing… it gets a little competitive out there,” Phillips said. “That’s just things that come with the game but that’s what brings people together.”
