Former Alabama wide receiver [autotag]John Metchie[/autotag] III was unstoppable while alongside fellow former Alabama receiver[autotag] Jameson Williams[/autotag]. The two will now leave college football behind and look to pursue careers in the NFL.
Williams is a projected first-round selection, but Metchie currently hovers trend the second or third round.
Despite a season-ending knee injury in the postseason, Metchie is still expected to be a solid NFL receiver and is worthy of an early-round pick.
One team clearly has their sights set on Metchie, as the Washington Commanders will bring him in for a pre-draft visit and meeting.
The Commanders are hosting Ohio State WR Chris Olave on Thursday in Ashburn, per source. Olave is very close with star WR Terry McLauirin, could be in play when Washington picks (11th overall).
Also, Alabama WR John Metchie will be in Ashburn on Friday to meet with Washington.

The Commanders hold pick No. 11 in the first round, which may be a bit of a reach to select Metchie. It may also be too early, however, for Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave, who the team is also soon meeting with.
It’s possible that the Commanders like Olave, but don’t want to reach on him too early and are comfortable enough with Metchie to wait until the first round concludes to make a move and take him off other teams’ big boards.
