John Kavanagh chalks up doubts around Conor McGregor’s UFC 257 conditioning as ‘false hope’

Coach John Kavanagh says anyone counting on Conor McGregor to gas out in his UFC 257 rematch with Dustin Poirier is making a mistake.

ABU DHABI – SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh spoke to reporters on Thursday ahead of Conor McGregor’s rematch with Dustin Poirier on Saturday at UFC 257.

Kavanagh addressed all angles of the McGregor (22-4 MMA, 10-2 UFC) vs. Poirier (26-6 MMA, 18-5 UFC) fight, including talk on strategy, mentality, skills and more.

In particular, Kavanagh had a blunt response for Poirier’s team and questions around his conditioning, calling it “false hope.”
