John Harbaugh says Ravens TE Mark Andrews is ‘on schedule’ when asked about postseason return

Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh gave an update on Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews while speaking with the media on Wednesday.

“I think [Mark Andrews] is on schedule as far as I’ve heard,” Harbaugh said.” [He’s] maybe a little ahead of schedule – I don’t know really if that’s accurate to say. But I’ve seen him in there working, and he’s in great spirits, and we’re hopeful. Our job is to get to that point. That’s what we have to do is get to the point where we’re still playing when he comes back, and it’s going to take everything we have.”

The Ravens have forged on to a league-best 12-3 record without their best pass-catcher since Andrews left the game against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11. Second-year tight end Isaiah Likely has stepped up with an increased role as the team’s starting tight end, catching 17 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns in Andrews’ absence.

Andrews was spotted in the Ravens’ locker room last week for the first time since suffering his injury.

Andrews has been the go-to target for quarterback Lamar Jackson since the two entered the league together in 2018. Andrews still leads the team in receiving touchdowns with six despite not playing since Week 11.
