The 2021 summer league is in the books and now is the time to look forward to the 2021-22 season. The offseason moves are in the books, the rosters are mostly set, and now the attention moves forward to the upcoming season.
Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers will be looking forward to bouncing back from their playoff disappointment and continue on their path for an NBA championship. With Embiid locked up on a contract extension, he will be looking to lead the team to the mountaintop.
The 2021-22 season will begin on the road for the Sixers as they will head down to the bayou and take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Oct. 20. The home opener will then be against the Brooklyn Nets two days later, before hitting the road for two games with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the New York Knicks.

Their first matchup with the No. 1 pick, Cade Cunningham, will be on Oct. 28. They will then welcome the defending champion, Milwaukee Bucks, to Philadelphia on Nov. 9 before they play host the Golden State Warriors in a primetime Saturday matchup on Dec. 11. Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat will be in Philadelphia on Dec. 15 and then LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will invade the Wells Fargo Center on Jan. 27.
Now that the schedule is out, the Sixers will begin to prepare for what they hope will be another big season and an even bigger playoff run.
