Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers have been making history all season. The big fella has had an incredible season, finishing as a finalist for MVP, and the Sixers finished as the No. 1 seed in the East for the first time since the Allen Iverson days of 2001.
On Wednesday, the Sixers made the wrong kind of history.
They built a 26-point lead over the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5, which seemed safe, but it slowly disappeared and turned into a loss nobody saw coming.
It was the first time in the past 25 seasons they had lost a game when leading by 25 or more points. They were 165-0 in such games before Wednesday.
Over the last 25 seasons (regular season & playoffs), the 76ers were 165-0 when leading by 25+ points at any point. They are now 165-1.

The Sixers must gather themselves and board the plane to Atlanta with their season on the line on Friday. Forcing a Game 7 will not be easy, but led by Embiid, they have the talent to get the job done.
