Joel Embiid, Sixers come in ranked 14th in latest power rankings

Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers come in ranked 14th in the latest edition of ESPN’s power rankings.

Another week has gone by in the 2022-23 NBA season, and the Philadelphia 76ers are 12-12 after a disappointing three-game road trip. They dropped all three games, and they had issues defensively and on the glass.

Now, they face a seven-game homestand. The Sixers welcomed James Harden back to the lineup and the goal is to get him back on the same page with Joel Embiid and have everybody grow as a unit.

The new week brings new power rankings from ESPN: The Sixers are ranked 14th:

A week ago, Philadelphia was three games over .500, had won seven of nine games and James Harden’s return was on the horizon. But after three losses on that road trip — including Monday’s loss in Houston — Philadelphia has now dropped back down to .500 on the season as they begin a two-week homestand Friday against the Lakers.

The Sixers will have to take advantage of this homestand and view it as an opportunity to work and get back on track. They also look to get Tyrese Maxey back in the lineup sooner rather than later.
