Joel Embiid probable vs. Hawks, reacts to Heat-Celtics postponement

Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid is probable against the Atlanta Hawks and he reacts to the league’s postponement of Heat-Celtics.

The Philadelphia 76ers are hoping to get some players back as they move on to face the Atlanta Hawks on Monday on the road. The Sixers are missing numerous amount of players due to the league’s health and safety protocols due to a positive test to Seth Curry on Thursday.

They are definitely going to be missing Ben Simmons due to a knee issue along with Curry, Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle, Shake Milton, Vincent Poirier, and Terrance Ferguson due to the protocols. However, they might be able to get back their star big man.

Joel Embiid missed the game on Saturday due to a back issue he was complaining about and Mike Scott is also probable to return from a knee contusion he suffered on New Year’s Eve against the Orlando Magic.

Meanwhile, the NBA postponed the matchup between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics on Sunday evening due to Miami not having the necessary eight players available to play the game. This is a big issue as Philadelphia technically had eight players suited up and available on Saturday, but Scott did not play due to the injury so they really only had seven and it would have made sense to postpone the game.

Embiid had something to say about the news.

The big fella was not done. He called out the NBA adding that he lives in their heads following The Process era and that he woke up and chose violence on this day.

The Sixers and the Hawks will battle in Atlanta on Monday at 7:30 p.m. EST.
