The Philadelphia 76ers may have fallen to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, snapping their eight-game winning streak, but Joel Embiid had another monstrous game on the offensive end of the floor.
The big fella dropped 48 points on 17-for-32 shooting. He beat up on the Wizards all night on that end of the floor. He was sensational and he made more Philadelphia history.
Wednesday was Embiid’s 32nd 40-plus point game. He passed the legndary Wilt Chamberlain for the second-most such games in the franchise’s history. Per StatMuse, only Allen Iverson has more such games for the Sixers with 76 games of 40-plus points.
