The Philadelphia 76ers were looking to get a little healthier after the return of three main players in Tobias Harris, Shake Milton, and Matisse Thybulle coming back after being in the league’s health and safety protocols. Now, they will be without their star big man and key reserve on their upcoming two-game road trip.
The Sixers will face both the Memphis Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder over the weekend and they will have to do so without the services of Joel Embiid and Mike Scott. Embiid will miss the trip due to right knee pain he suffered in Thursday’s game with the Miami Heat and Scott is out due to right knee soreness he also suffered on Thursday.
Joel Embiid will not travel to Memphis or Oklahoma City due to right knee pain. He will remain in Philly and receive treatment.
Mike Scott also will not travel to MEM or OKC due to right knee soreness. He will receive individualized treatment. #Sixers

It’s tough for the Sixers to have to continue to go through little bumps and bruises such as these ones because they are still a new team trying to work out all the kinks. It was important to get three main pieces to return, but now they will be missing their star big man and a key reserve in Scott.
Tipoff in Memphis is set for 8:00 p.m. EST on Saturday.
