Joel Embiid lays out his goals for Sixers over final 24 games after break

Star big man Joel Embiid lays out his goals for the Philadelphia 76ers with 24 games to go before the playoffs.

The 2022 All-Star break is over and now is the time for the Philadelphia 76ers to focus on these final 24 games heading into the playoffs. A lot of eyes will be on Philadelphia as they move forward with their new star duo of Joel Embiid and James Harden.

Harden is set to make his debut for the Sixers on Friday when the team opens up play after the break against the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road. At that point, the Sixers will now have to prepare for a sprint heading into the postseason and try to get the chemistry down right.

That is the big focus for Embiid as he gets set to return to Philadelphia after a big performance in the All-Star game.

“We got to get on the floor together and try to build chemistry, and we’ve got a great of great players in James Harden, who has been the league MVP and all that stuff, scoring titles, so he has experience,” Embiid told reporters in Cleveland. “I think it’s going to be easy to build that chemistry.”

At this point, the Sixers will have to focus on getting the chemistry right while also maintaining a top 4 spot in the Eastern Conference. It is always important for this group to get home-court advantage in the playoffs.

“Everybody is on the same page,” Embiid added in Cleveland. “We all are trying to win a championship, so that’s the goal. I think it’s all about everybody just staying healthy and getting on the floor and us getting together and really playing together.”
