The Brooklyn Nets’ matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday just got a bit easier. Sixers head coach Brett Brown has ruled out Joel Embiid, the game’s top center, per Ky Carlin of Sixers Wire.
According to Malika Andrews of ESPN, Embiid is out due to an upper respiratory illness. Additionally, Al Horford may remain out for the Sixers as well. He’s been sidelined for Philadelphia’s last two games. Horford is dealing with left knee soreness and left hamstring tightness.
The Nets will still be without its starting backcourt on Sunday. Kyrie Irving (right shoulder impingement) and Caris LeVert (right thumb surgery) are both out.
