Joe Noteboom returns to practice for first time since injuring ankle in Week 1

The Rams designated Joe Noteboom to return on Wednesday, giving him a chance to be activated as early as this week

Joe Noteboom was one of the many players to get injured in the Rams’ Week 1 loss to the Lions but he’s in line to be the first to return. Sean McVay said Wednesday that the Rams opened his 21-day practice window, allowing Noteboom to practice for the first time since going on IR after that Week 1 loss.

Noteboom can now be activated at any time and the Rams must do so in the next three weeks. After the team waived Geron Christian on Tuesday, it seems likely that Noteboom will be activated soon.

McVay said Noteboom will be listed as a limited participant on Wednesday after going through a successful workout Monday, just as Cooper Kupp did.

Noteboom injured his ankle in that Week 1 loss and had to be carted to the locker room. It’s the latest injury for the versatile offensive lineman, who has missed multiple games for the sixth consecutive season.
