Like anyone else with an interest in the NFL, Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon tuned into the Super Bowl and watched Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs knock off the San Francisco 49ers for the right to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
And Mixon took to Twitter several times during and after the game commentating on his desire to uplift the Bengals to a Super Bowl.
Mixon might just have the talent to do it, too. He hasn’t been the weakest link since arriving by any means, drumming up 1,100-plus yards in each of the past two seasons, scoring 13 rushing scores over that span and even leading the AFC in rushing once.
No, the biggest question with Mixon now is whether the Bengals have a holdout situation on their hands this offseason as he potentially looks for an extension. Mixon has already commented on his upcoming extension.
Until then, Bengals fans will want to soak up the following notes from one of the team’s biggest stars:
Ahhhhh man I gotta get me a Super Bowl!!!
