Cincinnati Bengals fans know they have something special with running back Joe Mixon, an extension candidate this summer who will be one of the main headlines until something happens one way or the other.
Mixon has been the heart of the offense over the last two seasons, running behind a poor offensive line without much threat in the passing game and still drumming up consecutive 1,100-plus-yard seasons with 17 touchdowns.
Other impressive numbers from Mixon’s second and third seasons? Try 116 first downs, 1,179 yards after contact, 30 broken tackles and 78 catches on 100 targets.
But ask Mixon? His favorite stat has to do with simply taking care of the football — and he’s one of a kind in this regard:

Mixon, turning just 24 years old in July, will play a key role in helping rookie Joe Burrow next season as the franchise seeks a resurgence.
This somewhat-overlooked stat being a focus for Mixon says it all.
