The Cincinnati Bengals have announced that running back Joe Mixon is a late addition to the Week 4 injury report as the team gets ready to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
According to ESPN’s Ben Baby, Mixon is now questionable for the game.
It’s a seemingly random turn of events for the Bengals, who are already dealing with a new injury to Mike Daniels and again won’t have Geno Atkins on the field against the Jaguars.
Mixon was not listed on the injury report all week and the final injury report went up Friday. A late addition on a Saturday is rare, so the situation is something to watch closely.
Mixon has just 164 yards on a 3.2 average this year behind a struggling offensive line. If he ends up missing the game now after a 50-50 designation on a Saturday, the workload will go to Giovani Bernard.
