Tennessee redshirt senior quarterback Joe Milton III was named to the Maxwell Award watch list ahead of the 2023 season.
He is one of 85 players named to the watch list for the 87th Maxwell Award, presented annually to the most outstanding player in college football.
Milton III has appeared in 17 games, including four starts, at Tennessee. He has completed 85-of-144 passing attempts, 1,346 passing yards, 12 passing touchdowns and zero interceptions, while totaling 206 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on 46 attempts with the Vols.
The Vols will kick off its 2023 season on Sept. 2 versus Virginia at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Kickoff between Tennessee and the Cavaliers is slated for noon EDT (ABC).
