Don’t call it a comeback, though in many ways, it is one.
After losing his starting quarterback job in Ann Arbor to current starter Cade McNamara, former Michigan signal caller Joe Milton opted to seek out greener pastures. Having transferred to Tennessee this offseason, Milton entered a loaded competition with Virginia Tech transfer Hooker Hendon and blue-chipper Harrison Bailey all fighting for the job.
However, after being a late addition in Knoxville, having previously won the Wolverines starting job in 2020, Milton has done it again, having been named the starting quarterback in new head coach Josh Heupel’s first year leading the Volunteers.
Michigan transfer Joe Milton will start at QB for Tennessee on Thursday vs. Bowling Green.

We’ll see if the Joe Milton that shows up in the SEC more reflects his hot start for Michigan in 2020 or the latter half.
