The Badgers are coming off an impressive 2019-20 campaign during which they captured the program’s first Big Ten regular season title since 2015. The team also returns nearly all of their production from the 2019-20 season as guard Brevin Pritzl is the only notable departing senior.
Lunardi’s bracket has them in a region with 1-seed Creighton, 2-seed Baylor, 4-seed Florida State and 5-seed Tennessee where the Sweet Sixteen would take place in Minneapolis, Minn.
Other Big Ten teams to make the cut include 10-seed Maryland, 8-seeds Purdue and Illinois, 7-seeds Indiana and Rutgers, 5-seeds Michigan and Ohio State and 3-seeds Iowa and Michigan State.
Lunardi’s ranking of the Badgers among the highest in the conference without a ball even touching the court shows the promise he sees in this veteran Badger team and the promising year 2021 will be.
