Joe Harris knocked down 183 3-pointers last season. While he led the league in 3-point percentage (47.4%) it was D’Angelo Russell who set the franchise record in 3-pointers made in a single season that year. Harris’ 183 were good for third all-time. (Allen Crabbe is No. 2 with 201 in 2017-18).
With the pandemic cutting out more than a few games for the Nets and the rest of the NBA, Harris won’t surpass Russell or even Crabbe’s mark.
But he’s doing what he can to get close to his 2018-19 mark — even though that seems like a tall task.
Harris entered Friday’s game against the Sacramento Kings with 161 3-pointers made this season. He knocked down five, surpassing Joe Johnson’s mark in 2013-14 (162) to move up to fifth-most threes made in a single season in franchise history. He’s now two behind Deron Williams 2012-13 mark (169).
Additionally, Harris drained a 3-pointer for the 58th consecutive game. He needs to make at least one three in each of the next three games in order to tie D’Angelo Russell’s franchise record (61 consecutive games).
