Joe Harris, Jarrett Allen crack ESPN’s top 100 NBA players entering 2020-21

ESPN put together its list of the NBA’s best 100 players in the league this year, which is sure to feature multiple Brooklyn Nets.

When discussing the best 100 players in the NBA right now, there’s no doubt at least four members of the Brooklyn Nets would be featured on anyone’s list: Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant — likely in that order, with Durant receiving the best ranking.

But while Nets fans might find it easy to include more of Brooklyn’s roster in the top 100 right off the jump, someone like Joe Harris could easily be excluded from some lists — even though he won the NBA 3-Point Shooting Contest in the year he led the league in 3-point percentage (47.4% in 2018-19), which he followed up by shooting 42.4% from deep last season.

For instance, with ESPN’s list of best NBA players for 2020-21, Harris barely snuck in at No. 100 overall — even though he just received a four-year, $72 million contract this offseason after proving he’s one of the game’s best long-range threats in the era of 3-point shooting.

ESPN has not yet released it’s top 50, but also featured among 100-51 was Nets big man Jarrett Allen at No. 94.
