Steve Nash has not yet defined roles for his players in Brooklyn, according to Joe Harris. Of course, there’s still time for that with training camp set to start, soon.

Even if there aren’t any further changes made to the roster, the Brooklyn starting five will look quite a bit different than last seasons with Kyrie Irving healthy after only playing in 20 games in 2019-20 and Kevin Durant making his return to the court after a year-long layoff. Will he play the three or the four? There’s also the DeAndre Jordan vs. Jarrett Allen dilemma.

“We haven’t dived into guys, specifically, and their roles and how [Nash] envisions that,” Harris said. “I think once we get everybody here as a team, it’s probably going to be one of those things that’s discussed.”

But Harris does think the Nets will use the modern positionless approach.

Either way, he’s not getting paid north of $70 million over four season to not play a part for the Nets. So, he’s not too worried about what his role will be. His focus is on getting ready for 2020-21.

“I couldn’t be more excited to play with these guys,” Harris said. “Kevin looks great in terms of coming back from the injury. I’ve heard the same with Ky. A lot of these guys that had sort of nagging stuff it seems like the offseason priority to them was to just get healthy, and we’re fortunate, I guess in sort of a sense where they were able to have a longer offseason.

“Although we weren’t able to have them in the bubble, it did allow them time to recover, get healthy and then hopefully that will translate to a great season next year.”
