[autotag]Joe Gibbs Racing[/autotag]’s program in the NASCAR Cup Series is set for the 2024 season; however, the NASCAR Xfinity Series is a different story. There haven’t been any announcements yet, but Chandler Smith and Sheldon Creed are expected to join the team. Also, a now former full-time Cup Series driver is also expected to join the fray.
According to Joe Gibbs in a video taken by NBC Sports’ JP Finlay, Aric Almirola will be driving for the organization now. It wasn’t an official announcement, but Almirola has been mentioned to run a part-time schedule for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Xfinity Series next year, according to FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass.

This would be a great move for Almirola and Joe Gibbs Racing in 2024. Almirola announced that he wouldn’t return to the No. 10 Cup car for Stewart-Haas Racing but never said he was done racing. By joining Joe Gibbs Racing, he would be able to compete in some of NASCAR’s best equipment while the team acquires a very experienced and talented driver.
