[autotag]Joe Gibbs Racing[/autotag] has been in the news for everything over the last week. Christopher Bell swept the race weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, while Chase Briscoe was announced as the new driver of the No. 19 Cup car starting in 2025. Now, Martin Truex Jr., who will retire from full-time racing after 2024, can add his name to the list.
Truex and his No. 19 team are undergoing changes ahead of the race weekend at Nashville Superspeedway. Joe Gibbs Racing is taking Thomas Hatcher from Michael McDowell’s No. 34 team to be the new front tire changer on the No. 19 car. Lee Cunningham will move from the front tire changer to the rear tire changer, replacing Michael Louria.
This news comes after Truex lost his track position on pit road due to a bad stop during the USA TODAY 301. It eventually led to the driver of the No. 19 car spinning out and needing to claw his way back up the field. Now, Truex will have a new setup for his No. 19 team as Joe Gibbs Racing looks to maximize its pit crews in the NASCAR Cup Series.
