What a rollercoaster ride of a season it was for the 2023 version of the Cleveland Browns. Despite massive amounts of injuries to key positions the team persevered and made the playoffs with 11 regular season wins. When Joe Flacco revived the season he went on a run that no Browns quarterback has been on in a long time.
Looking forward to the 2024 season Flacco declined to indicate whether he may return to Cleveland. He talked about soaking it all in and letting the emotions from Saturday’s defeat die down before he would talk about it.
Of course, if he returned it would be as the backup to Deshaun Watson who the team believes will return to practice in the spring following shoulder surgery. Flacco will likely go looking for any starting opportunities elsewhere but if he decides to be the backup in Cleveland, the Browns should find a way to make that happen next season.
