It sounds like Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow jerseys are flying off the shelves.
According to Fox 19’s Jeremy Rauch, the team’s pro shop has already moved 2,600-plus jerseys.
Keep in mind that’s only numbers from the pro shop on the fresh No. 9 jerseys before a new era starts. Presumably, that isn’t including a variety of other places offering official merchandise.
While the release of Andy Dalton and the fate of extensions for A.J. Green and Joe Mixon now commands the headlines momentarily, the Burrow hype won’t be muted for long.
We can look at the recent past to prove that point. Back in December, Burrow-Bengals jerseys were already out in the wild in some capacity. And a fan even rocked a Burrow-Bengals jersey at the Super Bowl.
We’re a long way out from knowing where Burrow’s Bengals jersey ranks among general NFL sellers in 2020 — but we’ve got a feeling it could rank high up the list.
