If the Cincinnati Bengals are at all concerned about star wideout A.J. Green, figureheads like Zac Taylor and Joe Burrow certainly aren’t showing it.
Green’s been the subject of constant scrutiny this week after a bad performance in Baltimore, plus a sudden hamstring injury that flirted with mysterious territory.
But Taylor met with the media Wednesday and said Green is “in a great place,” according to ESPN’s Ben Baby. Taylor stressed Green wouldn’t practice Wednesday, but that the plan is for him to give it a go Thursday.
Burrow shared similar thoughts, stressing that both he and Green are still trying to get on the same page, according to The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr.: “We need some better chemistry. We do. It’s a work in progress and we are going to get it right.”
Burrow also offered this on the Green front:
Joe Burrow on how he can get A.J. Green more involved in the offense: "A.J. is a great player and I'm going to continue to try to get him the ball." Said it's important to get him going.

Bengals coaches and players are saying and doing the right things when it comes to Green, though we’ll have to see if the oft-injured wideout is able to give it a serious go Thursday and Friday a few days removed from abruptly leaving a game and getting tagged as doubtful to return.
