It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to hear Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow continues to put on a show at training camp.
Monday was the first day media were permitted at camp though, so more footage and reactions than ever have made their way public. Onlookers got to see firsthand some of that leadership and playing ability Burrow’s teammates have raved about to this point.
And right on cue, Burrow went out and was perfect in seven-on-seven drills, as noted by Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com:
“He and slot receiver Tyler Boyd had a nice thing going on in that drill with Burrow showing why the scouts graded him so highly on throwing such a catchable ball. Burrow dropped a ball just over the head of cornerback Mackensie Alexander to find Boyd down the middle and on the last throw of the period cornerback Tony Brown looked to be in perfect position to pick off an out route. But Burrow threw it where Boyd could virtually grab it out of Brown’s hands …”
The writeup also noted Burrow probably would’ve kept right on going after four straight completions in 11-on-11s, but pressure forced him into an overthrow.
Plenty of onlookers caught visual proof of Burrow’s impressive day:

Burrow and the Bengals finally put on pads Tuesday, so we’ll see how the No. 1 pick does in a live-fire environment.
