Joe Burrow was one of the ‘most trolled’ players in the NFL last year

Fans love to troll Joe Burrow, apparently.

Any NFL fan that has ever logged on to a social media platform knows trolling is just part of the process.

Cincinnati Bengals fans know it all too well thanks to some of the players and happenings on the field over the years too.

And it turns out Joe Burrow is one of the “most trolled” players in the NFL over the last year. The Action Network scanned Instagram to come up with a list of players who “received the most negative comments” from May 2020 to May 2021.

While Burrow doesn’t crack the top 10, he pops up on the top 20 with 204,437 posts written about him — and 12.50% of them negative. That percentage ranks 11th among the top 20.

This is all in good fun, of course. Burrow was the No. 1 pick. He’s known for posing with cigars and has the potential to be one of the faces of the league. If he’s getting trolled alongside names like Tom Brady like he is here, he’s probably doing something right — and the Bengals are winning, too.
