Joe Burrow taken to hospital with throat contusion

Joe Burrow was taken to the hospital following the game.

Cincinnati Bengals and former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon for a throat contusion.

It’s not known when Burrow sustained the injury, but in the Bengals game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Burrow had to be checked on by trainers after he scrambled on a third down and was hit hard by Packers safety Darnell Savage.

The Bengals lost a loopy game that included five missed field goals by both teams before Mason Crosby hit the game winner in overtime to lift the Packers 25-22.

Burrow finished 26 for 38 with 281 yards passing, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. No one will question the toughness of the former LSU Tigers quarterback. The fact that he even finished this game following that hit tells you everything about him.

We will provide updates on Joe Burrow as they are made available.
