A week ago, we mentioned that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was in a race with Tom Brady to stand as the NFL’s highest-graded quarterback this season.
Now Burrow’s out in front with three games left.
Pro Football Focus issued Week 15 grades and once added to the season totals, Burrow’s sitting on an 89.3 passing grade and a 90.4 overall grade. This, after he went to Denver and posted a 15-of-22 line for 157 yards with one touchdown.
Brady actually fell a few spots after his Tampa Bay Buccaneers went down 9-0 to the .500 New Orleans Saints over the weekend. He put up a 26-of-48 line with 214 yards and one interception.
We’ll see if Burrow can hang on to the top spot down the stretch with games against Baltimore, Kansas City and Cleveland on the schedule. Besides Brady, he’s got some serious competition from Arizona’s Kyler Murray.
