Probable Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow sought out some advice from Peyton Manning before the 2020 NFL draft.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Burrow called Manning and the details are as follows: “Manning told him to learn what he can, become a better player, before adding that he’s OK with Burrow breaking his rookie-year interception record of 28.”
This interesting bit of news comes on the heels of Hall of Famers like Brett Favre and Anthony Munoz heaping praise on Burrow before the draft itself.
Call this latest bit of news around Burrow yet another testament to his character before he joins the Bengals.
Burrow, set to be the first pick next Thursday, continues to work his own form of due diligence. He’s consistently said he’s only been working on being the best possible rookie, so this meshes well with his thought process.
