Joe Burrow serves up hilarious retirement tweet over his tiny hands

LSU QB Joe Burrow displayed a great sense of humor about the size — or lack of size — of his hands.

Joe Burrow not only is sharp on the field as a quarterback. The Heisman winner out of LSU showed Monday he has quite a sense of humor at the keyboard when he delivered the tweet of the day:

The backstory is Burrow’s hands were measure and they came up at a grand total of nine inches.

ESPN addressed the finger facts in a story:

Per ESPN Stats & Information, the length from pinkie to thumb was tied for the smallest among first-round quarterbacks measured at the combine since 2008. Ryan Tannehill and Jared Goff, the others with that hand size, were both instructed by current Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor.

Of the 35 quarterbacks drafted in the first round since 2008, the average hand size has been 9 7/10 inches, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who led Kansas City to victory at Super Bowl LIV and was named the game’s MVP, registered at 9¼ inches in 2017.

No word whether Burrow was hiding some of the size of his extremities to try and dissuade the Cincinnati Bengals from taking him first in the 2020 NFL Draft.
